Coco peat brick is made by processing coconut husk and removing the long fibers. For a moist substrate you just add water. it’s non abrasive to skin and eyes, non-toxic and completely harmless if ingested. As a growing medium similar to sphagnum peat, coco peat, provides an alternative to potting soil featuring high water retention, suitable aeration and antifungal benefits. Ideal for any tropical terrarium.
- 100-Percent natural substrate for tropical terrariums
- Increases humidity
- Stimulates natural digging and burrowing behavior
- Ideal for frogs, salamanders, amphibians, chameleons, iguanas, lizards, snakes, spiders, turtles, tortoises and other digging animals.
To uncompress and rehydrate: place brick in a tray or bucket and add approximately three litres of water per brick. Warm water works faster. Leave for one hour to expand fully. Wring out excess moisture if desired and use. One 600 gm brick should be sufficient for a 140 litre terrarium, as it expands to approx. 8 litres.
